About the Counselor
Qualified Substance Abuse Professional
Our practice is dedicated to helping individuals meet the requirements established by the U.S. Department of Transportation after a drug or alcohol violation.
A Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a trained and credentialed counselor responsible for evaluating employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations. SAPs make recommendations for education or treatment and determine when an employee is eligible to begin the Return-to-Duty testing process.
We provide:
* Professional and non-judgmental evaluations
* Clear explanations of DOT requirements
* Personalized recommendations
* Support throughout the Return-to-Duty process
Our goal is to help individuals regain compliance and safely return to work.

Once the recommended program is completed, you will meet with the SAP again for a follow-up evaluation.
During this meeting, the counselor determines whether you have successfully complied with the recommendations and are eligible to move forward.
Return-to-Duty Documentation
If compliance is confirmed, the SAP provides the official documentation required for your employer or testing program so you can complete your Return-to-Duty drug or alcohol test.
Follow-Up Testing Plan
The SAP may also establish a follow-up testing schedule, which requires additional drug and alcohol testing after you return to safety-sensitive work.
